What is the Pro Classic Series?
• The Pro Classic Series is established since January 2009 and is managed by Cycle Tours Western Cape.
• The elite road cyclists participate in different events that constitute the series in the Western Cape.
• They compete in their different CSA age category as individuals or/and in teams.
• At the end of each season an individual winner and team is announced in each category.
• Approximately 380 cyclists have been participating in the series which has also attracted up country riders to
come and participate in various Pro Classic Series events.
• The Series runs over two seasons during the course of a year, summer and spring.
• A Season consists of 5 – 6 events which form part of other fun rides which attracts fields up to 2000 cyclists
per event.
How do I qualify to participate in the series?
• You need to be a paid up PPA member for July 2010 – June 2011 period.
• You need to hold the required PPA seeding for your specific CSA age category.
