Utilizing Avid’s standard compound, this brake pad is ideal for anyone looking for a more durable brake pad and longer pad life. The standard compound also lasts longer in mud, something to consider if you are riding races like the Sabie Experience!
Each set includes two brake pads, which replace the brake pads in ONE brake caliper. They are identical for both front and rear, and you would need two sets to replace all the brake pads on one bike. Make sure you keep the retainer pin as the pins do not come with the brake pads! Unlike the Avid Juicy brakes, the Elixir pads are removed and replaced from the top, which make pad replacement a lot easier and a lot faster.
These pads are suitable for all Avid Elixir brakes.
Although brake pads will always need replacing at some point and are always handy to have around, these are a must have for anyone doing a multistage race!
