The Bryton Rider 35 is a fantastic new cycling computer suitable for all
riders from novices to those who are very serious about improving their
fitness and race results.
The Rider 35 is packed with features in a compact device that weighs
just 80 grams fitted to the bike. Connecting the device to a PC allows
the Bryton Bridge software to be installed which allows routes, training
data etc. to be uploaded from or downloaded to the device.
GPS ENABLED WITH BAROMETRIC ALTIMETER
The Bryton Rider 35 has a built-in high sensitivity GPS receiver which
it uses to accurately record the rider's position, speed and distance.
The addition of a barometer gives it the ability to record altitude,
gradient and temperature.
Riding with the Bryton Rider 35 will record a tracklog of the route
which can be uploaded and shared via the Brytonsport Community website.
Past routes and other rider's routes can be downloaded and the Rider 35
will navigate you round them via arrows on the screen pointing to the
next waypoint. You can also plan and download your own routes on the
Brytonsport Community website.
Routes can be saved in the universal GPX interchange format allowing them to be imported to other devices and mapping software.
DATA SCREENS AND RIDE STATISTICS
Pressing the mode button switches the Rider 35 between the data
screens. Each view can be individually customised, allowing the number
of fields displayed, and what data is displayed to be changed.
There are more than 30 different pieces of data to choose to display.
The data fields are clear and easy to read and all the functions you
would normally associate with a cycling computer are there.
ANALYSING RIDES AND TRAINING DATA
By connecting the Bryton Rider 35 to a computer, previous ride
statistics can be uploaded to the Brytonsport Community website. By
doing this you can analyse a vast array of information about the ride,
including a map of the route and a graph of the speed / altitude at any
point.
Adding the separately available heart rate monitor chest band and
cadence sensor, will add heart rate and pedaling rate data to your
statistics.
TRAINING PROGRAMMES
The Bryton Rider 35 allows training programmes to be setup and followed
by the rider. These vary from very basic general fitness improvement to
sophisticated schedules for those riding in competitive events.
Training programmes can be planned on the Brytonsport Community website
and downloaded to the Rider 35. Training sessions can be planned by
heart rate zone and include the ability to do interval training with set
warm up, interval, recovery and cool down periods.
The My Buddy feature allows you to race a virtual training partner with
the Rider 35 display showing how far ahead or behind you are.
The heart rate monitor chest band is required to conduct advanced
training sessions and a future update will include the ability to read
data from Ant+ compatible power meters.
The Bundled Pack includes the heart rate belt and cadence sensor.
