Crankbrothers Candy Pedals have all the same benefits of the eggbeaters; four sided entry, unbeatable mud clearing, personally serviceable bearings, light weight and easy cleating/uncleating action. Float is also adjustable by merely swopping the cleats on your shoes around. The difference comes in with the platform. While the platform does add weight (yes, the eggbeaters are the ones for you weight weenies!) it gives you larger surface area for your feet to make contact with the pedals. This results in less pressure at the bottom of your feet, reduces flex action and better control. The SL version also gives you even better durability because of the stainless steel wings. Crankbrothers pedals come with a 2 year warranty.
