If you want to make use of your Garmin’s cadence feature this little sensor is essential. It measures your cadence and gives you current, average and maximum cadence information.
An extra benefit is that it also doubles as a speed sensor. When training indoors on rollers or a trainer you would normally not be able to get speed/distance information. This is due to the fact that GPS signal is limited/non-existent indoors, and you technically aren’t going anywhere, a major problem if you’re using GPS to track your speed. With the Garmin GSC10 Transmitter on your back wheel you can still get all your speed/distance info exactly as if you were out on ride.
Garmin GSC10 Transmitters also use a digital transmission system, in a similar way to a Bluetooth device. Each transmitter is paired uniquely to your unit, preventing your unit from picking up someone else’s speed/distance info. The GSC10 Transmitter is also very resistant to interference both indoors and outdoors.
The transmitter has a user replaceable battery and is splashproof. Includes zipties and magnets.
