Rock n Roll Lubes are formulated to clean and lube at the same time when applied. The formulation is specially designed to go deep down into the chain and trap any dirt. Then, with the energy of the chain freewheeling backwards, and the formulation trapping the dirt and grit, everything floats to the surface so you can wipe it all off. That leaves you with a new and clean application of lube inside the chain where it’s needed. The lube also creates a protective membrane, which keeps dirt out of the moving parts of the chain. All of this will help to increase chain life, give you super smooth shifting and smoother pedaling.
The Extreme is for MTB's but can also be used on the road. The bicycle, because it's on rubber tires, is not grounded, making the bicycle a static electricity machine. As the bicycle rolls along it's constantly throwing off negatively charged electrons, whereas the dirt along the ground is positively charged, and so the dirt comes up to the bike to replace the discharge. The dirt is going to stick to whatever is sticky on the bike, and of course the chain is the number one spot.
Rock n Roll Extreme is a great lube for wet weather, giving you smooth, noise free pedaling and staying on the chain even through rain and mud, where dry lubes would quickly wash off.
