The super-narrow, lightweight Shimano Ultegra CN-6700 10-speed directional chain provides optimal cassette and chainring interaction for lightning quick shifts and maximum power transfer. Shifting precision has been significantly improved using different inner and outer plate chamfers and dimensions to accommodate the different shifting requirements of a chain moving inward or outward on the drivetrain. The outer plate design significantly reduces the chance of chain suck, while the inner plate provides better contact with the gears for smoother shifting under high loads.
